Florida MLS Questions & Answers!

What is the MLS (Multiple Listing Service)? The National Association of Realtor's (NAR) Database of Real Estate listings and transaction information, for both Residential and Commercial Properties. The MLS combines the listings for® All Properties listed by Realtors in one powerful comprehensive database. It also distributes all these listing to all IDX participating websites. The MLS has information on Active, Pending, Closed, Cancelled & Expired Listings. It also contains all Property Tax, Owner Information, Sales & Rental History.

The MLS is the #1 resource used by all Realtors to locate Properties for their buyers. The MLS is also by far the most powerful & effective method of marketing Real Estate. Properties being sold "By Owner" do not appear on the MLS. This puts "By Owners" at a disadvantage; because, it leaves many potential buyers and agents unaware of those properties. With the Flat Fee MLS listing, "By Owners" are able to take full advantage of the MLS without paying high commissions or losing their "By Owner" status.
